Create Software Trials Using Protection PLUS
Now you can distribute fully functional trial copies of
your application. Using
the
PLUS system, you can cause your application to stop working after a specified
date
or number
of
executions. The PLUS system will not allow backdating
the system date or reinstalling the trial to get more usage. You decide whether
to enable all or just some of the features of your application
during
the trial period.
What happens when the trial expires?
The prospective client calls you for a Trigger
Code to extend the trial period, or you can unlock it
forever. This allows you to distribute trials, take credit
card
orders over the phone, and activate the application without
having to send another set of diskettes.
Network Per-Seat Licensing
The PLUS system allows you to prohibit the copying of your software from the server hard drive, limit the number of simultaneous workstations, or assign the application to specific workstations. To authorize additional workstations, your client simply contacts you for a Trigger Code. In most cases, the PLUS system can detect when any of the client stations terminated prematurely and automatically free up the license that was being used.
Distributor Control using the Internet
You can provide your distributors a special area on your web site to activate software. A SOLO web application can easily track and/or limit their usage. In many cases, Concept Software can provide the tools and consulting to help you with a custom implementation.
