What is Instant SOLO sm?
Designed to allow you to start selling on the Internet today, Instant SOLO is a new hands-free service which gives you the freedom to make money 24 hours a day whether you are in your office or not. Instant SOLO is the only Internet activation service that lets your customers buy your software and instantly receive a Protection PLUS unique security activation code directly over the Internet! Not only can you sell activation codes to your software, you can sell and activate product upgrades, additional features/modules/options, additional network user seats, etc.
Our goal is to offer this service to our customers who cannot afford the time or money to set up their own sales and credit card processing department but want to access the power of Electronic License Activation™ (ELA) and the Internet to provide instant gratification to their customers. The other element is our desire to provide a valuable service to companies who wish to provide e-commerce capabilities for their products without being chained to the administrative process all day.
SoftwareKey SOLO technology provides a seamless secure licensing process and our administrative staff processes the credit card transactions, monitors sales, generates sales reports, assists with customer service questions, and provides a monthly report with your company's check. How Does Instant SOLO Work?
You load all of your product details and pricing into our server. You can upload a company logo or banner graphic so your brand name is displayed on the shopping cart.
For a nominal setup fee, you can provide us a blank template or URL to your web site so that we can design a complete virtual storefront for your company. This virtual storefront further hides the transition from your site to ours. See virual storefronts for several Sample Customers.
Your software or web site will link transparently to our server when the user wants to place an order. Our SOLO Server processes your customer's credit card in real-time and, upon credit card approval, provides them with their personal code to activate the software. You are instantly sent an e-mail with the customer's order details. You are provided a login password to access the Instant SOLO Administration site where you can update your company and product information, as well as generate various reports.
How Am I Paid?
At a pre-defined interval, you are issued a payment for all revenue collected minus a small commission and credit card processing fee. This payment can be made electronically to all domestic banks and international banks that support Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. If electronic payment is not possible, you are issued a check.
How Much Does It Cost?
In most cases, there are no setup fees to start selling online through Instant SOLO. You only pay when your software actually sells. The commission pricing is based upon the selling price of your software.
In addition to the sales commission, there is a standard credit card transaction fee on all transactions. We simply pass on the commission we are charged by VISA/MC/AMEX/DISC which all merchants must pay (various banks charge various fees and commissions - we pass on our current rate to you with no markup).
Can I Upgrade to SOLO Server Later?
Certainly! In fact, a portion of your sales commissions paid can be applied toward the purchase and implementation of your own SOLO Server. You can start selling online now with very little effort and install your own server as your business grows!
I do not live inside the United States. Can I use Instant SOLO?
Yes. We have several Instant SOLO clients residing outside the United States. Their software is priced in the store in USD and all commission checks are issued in USD. Customers can purchase your software from anywhere because the credit cards automatically bill the customer in their local currency.
Can customers purchase by phone?
Yes, provided they contact you to place the order. You can enter orders into SOLO manually for people who pay by credit card or other means. You can give away Not For Resale copies of your software with just a few clicks.
Can I Use My Existing Merchant Account?
Yes - And you save money doing so! All credit card charges are processed through your merchant account when a customer purchases online. The money is deposited directly into your bank account and you can negotiate the credit card processing discount fee with your bank. In this configuration, our fee is a smaller percentage commission (as low as 1%) with a minimum transaction fee. Contact your bank to see if they support one of the compatible payment gateways .
What is involved in using my own merchant account?
Opening a merchant account can be a tedious process, especially if you are a small company and do not have a physical storefront that customers visit or all of your transactions are mail / phone / Internet orders. You are more than welcome to use your own merchant account or ours with Instant SOLO. If you already accept credit cards and plan to continue processing credit cards at your site, verify with your bank that you can add a second location to your existing merchant account. Instant SOLO will be the second location. Your merchant account must support one of the compatible
payment gateways .
