System Requirements
To install SoftwareKey Metering System™, you must have the following requirements to operate the client component:
Operating Systems Supported
- Windows Vista
- Windows 2003 Server
- Windows XP
- Windows 2000
*Note: Although x64 versions of Windows are supported, native x64 applications are not supported. Only normal, Win32 PE binaries (which excludes x64 and .NET applications) are supported by the wrapper/injection feature of Instant Metering.
Screen Settings
- Minimum Screen Resolution: 800x600 (1024x768 or higher is recommend for those using 120 dpi fonts)
- Minimum Color Depth: 16 bit (24 bit or higher recommended)
Because we offer hosted server services, the only system requirement is a web browser to access the administration pages. Current versions of most popular browsers are supported.
If you opt for a full, in house on premise solution, the SOLO Server component requires the following:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003, or 2008
- Microsoft SQL Server/SQL Server Express 2000 or later (some features may not be supported on SQL 2000)
- SSL Certificate for HTTPS (secure) connections
- 100MB hard drive space
- SMTP server
- .NET Framework 2.0
- Latest MSXML 6.0 Core Services
Requirements for e-commerce transactions: Merchant account and compatible payment gateway. A credit card payment gateway is a service which links your site to a merchant bank network. There are hundreds of credit card payment gateways ranging from swipe point of sale (POS) terminals to Internet-based services. SOLO Server uses a payment gateway to bill customers and issue refunds.
