September 10, 2018 Updates to the SOLO Server Automation Terms of Service

As you are probably aware, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), went into effect on 25 May 2018 and has a major impact on European privacy law. SoftwareKey has fully embraced the GDPR for our customers who are regulated by the GDPR.

To fully support the GDPR as a Data Processor, we must update our Terms of Service for all customers, even those not regulated by the GDPR.

We recommend that you review the updated Terms of Service. The updated Terms of Service are effective on September 10, 2018, and by using SOLO Server Automation on or after that date, you will be required to agree to the new terms when you log in. If you don't want to be bound by these agreements, you can contact us to close your account before that date.

There are two updates to the agreement:

  • Section 6:  Processing client personal data regulated by applicable laws is no longer permitted without executing the SoftwareKey Data Processing Addendum.
  • Section 15:  Your account data may be deleted from our servers due to voluntary or involuntary account termination, including delinquent accounts. Once this occurs, account data CANNOT be recovered.

Note: SoftwareKey customers subject to the GDPR regulation must execute the Data Processing Addendum (referenced in Section 6), which is part of a GDPR Module in SOLO Server Automation.
