Protection PLUS Release

Although the autumn season has begun, things are still heating up here at SoftwareKey, and not simply because we are located in sunny Florida! We are hard at work on improving our products while continuing to provide top-of-the-line support! This release of Protection PLUS 5 SDK is an important milestone because it officially marks the end of the Protection PLUS 5 SDK Native Edition beta era. Also, we already have new Protection PLUS 5 SDK editions for Java SE and Android in the works!

  • Protection PLUS 5 SDK .NET Edition version 5.14.3.0 includes:
    • PLUSManaged API – Supports applications written using the Microsoft .NET Framework and Mono
    • PLUSManagedGui API – Supports applications written using the Microsoft .NET Framework
    • License Manager – Tool for creating and activating licenses without SOLO Server
    • Instant Protection PLUS 3 version 3.2.0.4 – In the near future, Instant Protection PLUS 3 will no longer be bundled in the Protection PLUS 5 SDK .NET Edition installer. It will still be available for download and installation separately for current customers with active software maintenance.
  • Protection PLUS 5 SDK Native Edition version 5.14.3.0 (no longer beta!) includes:
    • PLUSNative API – Supports native Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux desktop and server environments
    • License Manager – Tool for creating and activating licenses without SOLO Server

Protection PLUS 5 SDK Native Edition officially released!

Protection PLUS 5 SDK Native Edition is no longer in beta! Many customers have already been using it in production with great success, and now the release is official with various improvements and updates to License Manager and the documentation. For our customers who have been considering upgrading to Protection PLUS 5 SDK from Protection PLUS 4 (especially recommended for any new products), now would be a perfect time! Request a free trial here! Please contact us if you have any questions about upgrading. Our focus will be on improving Protection PLUS 5 SDK and developing new editions, but we will continue to support all Protection PLUS 4 APIs in a maintenance mode for the foreseeable future.

Android and Java Editions of Protection PLUS 5 SDK

Protection PLUS 5 SDK Android Edition preview is now available, and support for Java SE applications is coming soon as well! Check out our recent blog post to learn more: Protection PLUS 5 Android Edition: The next-generation software licensing toolkit is coming soon for Android developers

Protection PLUS 5 SDK branding update

With this release, we have updated the branding from Protection PLUS 5 to Protection PLUS 5 SDK. This more accurately reflects that Protection PLUS 5 SDK includes various APIs, License Manager, documentation and API reference. The new name also clearly distinguishes Protection PLUS 5 SDK from our other licensing client, Instant Protection PLUS 3, which uses a wizard interface to implement the licensing more quickly (but also has certain limitations).
